Delhi Police is on alert following violent demonstrations in Jamia Nagar on Sunday against the Citizenship Amendment Act and again in Seelampur. At the same time, due to some demonstrations on Thursday, many metro stations have been closed and the Delhi Police has not allowed the Communist Party’s demonstration.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has closed the exit and entry gates of the Delhi Metro station due to the demonstrations taking place in the city today. Trains will not stop at these stations. The names of these stations are Jamia Millia Islamia, Jasola Vihar, Shaheen Bagh, Munirka, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and University Metro Station.

The police has also filed an FIR in the Jamia Millia Islamia violence case that took place on 15 December. It has been said in the FIR that all these local leaders and student leaders were leading the protest. It was also said that these leaders were inciting people and shouting slogans among the students. Police took action in this case and arrested 10 people, who have been sent to jail. While many names have been revealed in the FIR lodged at Jamianagar Police Station.
